It is very well cared for and enclosed by a chainlink fence. There was no evidence of vandalism.\n\n The earliest marked grave has a date of 1864 as well as MURDERED engraved upon it. There are many unmarked graves that could possibly date back to this early time as well. Community members have laid small, concrete squares to indicate the identity of many graves. These bear the name or indicate who the person may be who is buried there. There are no dates on these markers.\n\n Although this cemetery has so many burials in the early days of the area, there are also current graves as well.\n\n To drive to this cemetery from Granbury, travel on Hwy. #377 to Tolar. At the second caution light, continue west for 1.7 miles. A green cemetery sign on the north side of the highway should indicate a right turn onto CR #106. Drive .5 mile to CR #105 on the right. The cemetery is in the corner where the\ntwo county roads meet.\n\n I completed this survey in early October, 1990.\n\n Mary Kate Durham \n \n\n\n ASBURY CEMETERY\n Hood County, Texas \n \n Birth Date Death Date\n\nADAMS, Henry H. 1830 1905\nADAMS, Rittie M. 25 May 1839 25 Aug 1899\n \"Wife of H.H.
