The Brazos River Chapter of the Daughters of The Republic was organized April 24, 1968 in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Granbury. They received their approval by the state November 20, 1968.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four state officers were present to assist with the organizing, Miss Naomi Ray Morey, of Ft. Worth, 2nd<\/sup> vice president for Texas, Mrs. Raymond H. Feller, State Representative, District #2 from San Angelo; Mrs. W.B. Clayton from Dallas, State Historian General; and Mrs. U.L. Morey, Committee Woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n New officers for this organization were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n President – Miss Ethel Baker<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vice President – Miss Ina Baker<\/p>\n\n\n\n Secretary – Mrs. Alice Price<\/p>\n\n\n\n Registrar – Mrs. Iva Burke<\/p>\n\n\n\n Historian – Mrs. Roselle Shelby<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chaplain – Mrs. W.G.
