Sargent &amp; Mrs. N.M. Edmundson were married at the bride&#8217;s home in Granbury last Sunday morning, Rev. J.S. Fine officiating. We wish them a long and happy married life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elder E.S. Cummings of the Christian Church will begin a protracted meeting at Tolar next Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. T.O. Martin spent several days at Stephenville the past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. J.R. Boyd has moved his family to his Thorp Spring residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed Hilbun is holding down the bookkeeper&#8217;s desk at the bank this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Rena Blake of Quanah, came in on Saturday for a visit to Dr. Hanna&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Maye Plummer of Cleburne, is in the city visiting her friend, Miss Ora Skipper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. W.O. Hightower, and Miss Kate, from Georgetown, are visiting Mr. I.O. Hightower&#8217;s family<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The democratic convention of Somerville [sic] county instructed for Hon. Lee Riddle for State Senator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Fay Brown of Cleburne, was in the city last week visiting her friend, Miss Bessie Hightower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Hanna leaves this week for Quanah, where he will spend the summer recuperating his shattered health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Swafford is now constable for precinct no. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. D.W. Evans, the photographer, visited in Fort Worth this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. J.A. Formwalt returned on Sunday from her visit to Palestine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Messrs. Mark Logan &amp; Eli Oxford of Stephenville, were in the city yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In reply to numerous inquiries we will state that Jim Lancaster has not yet given bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. E. Barbee and family left on Monday for a visit to relatives at Bangs, Brown county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. &amp; Mrs. J.C. Lees entertained their young friends in a social party on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Harry Boon of Thorp Spring, represented Hood county in the prohibition state convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank Salmon left on Tuesday for a visit to Mineral Wells. He will also take in the Encampment at Austin before returning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The disciples of Terpsicore were royally entertained at the residence of Mr. &amp; Mrs. J.H. Doyle last Friday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. W.R. Joyce and family of Paluxy passed through last Monday for a visit to their old home in Tarrant county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed Doyle and John Tandy left Tuesday morning at break of day for a week&#8217;s fishing and hunting in the Palo Pinto mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Messrs. Albert Miller, Elmo McClellan and Will Thrash will attend the State Encampment at Austin with the 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0regiment band, and will leave in a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elder A.
