Directions To Bowden School

About 1.5 miles east of Lipan on FM 1189 is the intersection of Bowden Road. About 2 miles up Bowden Road is the old Bowden School site (there is nothing there anymore). The school was consolidated with Lipan in the '30s along with many other rural schools. According to my dad, many of the Bowden Family lived in this area. That's about all I know about the Bowden family. Hopefully someone else will be able to provide more info.
