COMANCHE PEAK BAPTIST CHURCH
Little is known concerning this church. Elijah Green presented a petitionary letter to the Bosque River Association on August 18, 1877, and two days later requested a letter of dismission, which was granted. The church then affiliated with the Brazos River Association until 1880, at which time it went to the newly organized Paluxy Association. Rev. J.A. Pharr was the pastor at that time. The church sent messengers to the association for a few years and then disappeared from history. The exact location of this church is unknown, but it probably was in the vicinity of what later was Neri.
