Mrs. Mary Glenn Dies From
Another Stroke
Mrs. Mary Glenn, age 73 years died shortly after noon Wednesday [November 22,
1933]. A few months ago she had a stroke and was partially paralyzed, but
her condition improved and she was able to be about. Wednesday morning she had
a stroke of apoplexy and passed away the same day.
She was the wife of C.B.
Glenn who died in 1927 and survived by a grand-daughter, Mrs. J. Newton Nutt,
whose mother died when she was small and was raised in the home of her
grandmother and her many friends with her in her hour of sorrow.
Mrs. Glenn had been a resident of Hood County a number of
years and had resided in Granbury the past 27 years. She had one sister
living, Mrs. Myra Rogers at Mountainair, New Mexico.
Funeral services were conducted at the Estes Funeral
Chapel at 3:30 pm Thursday by Rev. Hugh Brous, followed by interment in
Granbury cemetery.

Note: Mary was the daughter of Peter H. and Nancy
J. (McKenzie) James. She was born April 16, 1860. She married Columbus Bonapart Glenn on
January 20, 1876 in Hood County, Texas.
