Elsie Eldora Duckworth was born February 11, 1878 in Fannin County, Texas. She was the daughter of James Alexander Duckworth and Nancy Arizona Tidwell.
On February 11, 1900, Elsie married Robert Samuel Boyd in Hood County, Texas. Robert Boyd was born September 23, 1872 and passed away April 26, 1954. He was buried in Granbury Cemetery.
Elsie passed away September 12, 1963 in Granbury, Hood County, Texas, and was buried in Granbury Cemetery beside her husband.

MRS. ELSIE BOYD PASSED AWAY THURSDAY
Mrs Elsie Boyd, 85, passed away in Granbury General Hospital Thursday night, September 12, 1963, after having been ill for some time. She had been a resident of Hood county most of her life. Her husband, R.S. Boyd, Sr. died a number of years ago. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, 1963, at First Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. C.A. Mangham and Rev. Joe Davis conducting the last rites for Mrs. Boyd who had been a member of the church since early in life. Suvivors are six daughters; Clara Riddle of Weatherford, Crystal Gibson, Gladys Thompson, Kanard Tankersly, Imogene Gee, all of Granbury, another daughter, Kathleen Shaw of Phoenix and one son, R.S. Boyd, Jr. of Granbury. There are 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; four brothers, Jack Duckworth of Denison, Ivo Duckworth of Fort Worth, Wright Duckworth of Wichita Falls, and Irvin Duckworth of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Miss Nina Duckworth of Denison, and Mrs. Gladys Hathaway of Wichita Falls. Interment was in the Granbury cemetery, Ellis Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons, Glenn and Bill Tankersly, Junior Riddle, Roger Boyd, Jack and Boyd Gibson.
