Jack Moore was born October 20, 1921, at Wills Point, Texas. He was “born again” in June 1938, and was baptized by Rev. J.P. Carrier. On November 16, 1958, he was ordained to the work of the ministry by the Flint Avenue Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas. The members of the Presbytery were Otis Beauchamp, Garland Madole, George Hopper, William Turner, James Duck, T.H. Tipton, C.H. McClellen, D.E. McCarty, O.B. Johns, Bill Deaver, Bruce Giles, Joe B. Collins, Ed Williams, and Malcolm Womack.
On May 26, 1940, Jack was married to Miss Winnie Belle Boggan. They are the parents of four daughters.
Brother Moore has served as pastor of churches in Ralls and Littlefield, Texas; Melrose, Clovis and Lovington, New Mexico, and since 1977 he has been pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lipan, Hood County, Texas. In 1979 he was elected Moderator of Paluxy Association, and presided over the Centennial session, at which time he was reelected for another year.
