To the legislator of the State of Texas
We the undersigned Citizens of Hood County would respectfully ask of your Honorable body, that the State Tax for this year and for the year 1872 collected in the County be appropriated to the building of a Court House and Jail in the town of Granbury. We have under contract a Court House and can by the assistants of the State Tax collected in this County for the years 1871 & 1872 build a good Court House & Jail which is very much needed as we have neither.
