JOSEPH ISAAC TAYLOR 1893 – 1971

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 7, for Joseph Isaac Taylor in the Lipan Church of Christ after his death Jan. 6.

Taylor was 77, born March 14, 1893 in Cormich, Okla., and lived in Lipan most of his life.

He was a member of the Lipan Masonic Lodge No. 565.

Surviving Joseph Taylor are his wife, Georgia [Winslett] Taylor, four daughters, Mrs. J.J. Miller [Betty], Mrs. Al Griffith [Bobbie], Mrs. Frank Sheffield [Dixie], Mrs. Art West [Hester], all of Ft. Worth; and one son, Bud Taylor of Stephenville.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Bishop of Mineral Wells; Mrs. Ola [sic – should be Ora] Bell Hale of Dallas; Mrs. Euna Paschall of Glen Rose; Miss Lucille Taylor of Peaster; and one brother Pete Taylor of Houston.

Services were in the Lipan Church of Christ by Ralph Starling and assisted by Jimmie McDermitt.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan with arrangements by Smith Funeral Home.
